APPARATUS MAINTENANCE SECTION
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Fire Rescue International

Come join Emergency Vehicle Technicians, Emergency Vehicle Shop Supervisors, Specification Writers, and Chief Officers responsible for fire apparatus specifications, purchasing, and maintenance at the Apparatus Maintenance Section’s annual conference at Fire Rescue International. The new format for this year will include 2 tracks, 1 for the supervisor and 1 technician including EVT certifications.

With the upcoming release of NFPA 1901, some dramatic changes are coming—are you and your department ready? Do you know what the changes means for how you specify, operate and maintain your apparatus? Do you have the equipment in your shop to meet the standards and provide the needed tools for your technicians? The Apparatus Maintenance Section presents this seminar for shop supervisors, fleet managers and technicians alike. Topics include:
  • The 2009 NFPA 1901: What it Means to You
  • Vehicle Data Recorders: What Do You Need to Know about this New Requirement
  • Vehicle System Updates: New Technology in Common Products
  • NFPA 1911: Are You Following the Standard?
In addition, two EVT certification classes on electrical systems and fire pumps will be offered, so your technicians can receive critical certifications while you learn about the challenges of managing your fleet.
